SIGN-ON BONUS $1,000 Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton is seeking a full-time Patient Services Coordinator.
Under the general direction and reporting to the Practice Supervisor, the Patient Services Coordinator performs a wide variety of specific and specialized duties, using independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative.
This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients and visitors in the Center for Specialty Care, Radiology Department, and Rehab Services providing excellent customer service through clear communication.
Primary responsibility is for patient scheduling (appointments for all imaging, rehabilitation, employee health, medical or surgical clinic visits), registration and ancillary support services.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Communicates with and assists patients, other employees and the general public in a courteous, helpful manner by phone and in person.
Receives faxes and phone call from referring offices for scheduling and returns scheduled appointments to the referring practice.
Perform scheduling of patients, check in, registration, and verification of demographic and fiscal information utilizing a computer system (i.
e.
CCC, Web OMR, Meditech Expanse).
Takes complete and accurate information from patients/callers, prioritizing and facilitating communication of information to providers.
Prepare schedules and other documents as needed in accordance with quality standards.
Inputs patient insurance and managed care plans, including prior authorizations, referrals, and precertification.
Collect copayments following standards for managing copayment processing.
Direct patients as needed to next service area upon check in.
Collect patient record upon completion of visit.
Schedules follow up appointments including related diagnostic and/or lab tests making every reasonable effort to accommodate patient and provider needs.
Monitor auto appointment reminder system.
Assisting patients and visitors entering, waiting, and leaving the exam area or other outpatient department.
Escorts/directs patients to appropriate waiting and dressing area.
Qualifications:
Min Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Associates degree preferred Min
Experience:
Minimum 2 years related work experience required.

BID Milton will pay $1,000 (in two payments over six months) to hired candidates for this position.
Candidates will receive $500 on the pay period following date of hire and another $500 once they reach six months of employment.
Important Details:
Employees applying internally from within BID Milton or another BILH entity are not eligible for this signing bonus program.
Re-hires may receive signing bonuses if they terminated their employment with BID Milton more than a year before new hire date.
This includes students, volunteers and interns who have worked (paid or unpaid) at BID Milton New employees must be in good standing at the bonus payout dates to receive payout.
Candidates who are referred by a current employee will receive their bonus as part of the employee referral program.
Candidates may not receive both a signing bonus and a referral bonus.
Bonus eligible jobs are subject to change based on the hospital's hiring needs and will be determined by Human Resources on an ongoing basis.
HR reserves the right to change the bonus eligible jobs at any time.
Additionally, all payouts are subject to standard state and federal tax withholdings and are processed through payroll.
